About
The Venue!
Garden party vibes.
Redwood forest magic.
One unforgettable venue.
River House is where lush blooms meet towering redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains — a venue so naturally beautiful, it barely needs decoration.

is where lush blooms meet towering redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains — a venue so naturally beautiful, it barely needs decoration.
Step out of your car and you're already in it: winding paths lined with seasonal flowers, native plants at every turn, and the kind of ancient quiet that makes everything feel more meaningful.
Two ceremony sites. Both stunning.
Say your vows inside a natural fairy ring in the redwood grove — one of the most magical spots in the mountains.
Or walk the wisteria arbor to our sun-drenched lawn, with your whole crew cheering you on.
The flowers change with the seasons. The magic doesn't.
YOUR TEAM, INCLUDED
Meet your planners!
Meet Wedding Connection — your planning team, included.
We're a small team of dedicated on-site planners who know River House inside and out — and genuinely love what we do. From the early "where do we even start?" conversations to the final logistics of your big day, we're with you every step of the way.
Our project management support package is built into your venue price, which means you get real, experienced planning help without hunting down (or budgeting for) someone separately. We handle the details, the timelines, and the inevitable curveballs — so you can stay in the excited, joy-filled place where you belong.
THE HEART OF RIVER HOUSE
Meet the owners!
Meet Cricket & Matt Brumbaugh.
River House isn't just a venue — it's their home. As lifelong San Lorenzo Valley locals, Matt and Cricket Brumbaugh have spent over 30 years bringing their vision to life along the San Lorenzo River. Starting with a blank canvas, they built their wedding venue from the ground up, creating a space that feels both naturally beautiful and deeply personal.
With generations of family ties to the valley, Matt and Cricket take pride in sharing a place that’s not just a venue—but a piece of their story.
